Zen Master

Attention to Detail

With a change to more time spent working from home, our client wanted to create a peaceful work sanctuary that could also function as a guest room and extension to the garden area.

An old shed was demolished and a new pavilion created that reflects the owner’s Japanese heritage and design aesthetic.

The kitchen was refurbished to create a social hub and a direct connection to the outdoors, providing a sense of wholeness to the small spaces.

Careful attention to detail and selection of materials that draw from both a traditional and contemporary palette create a sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere.

The result is a zen-like calm that demonstrates how less can be more.
