With a southerly aspect to the rear and an outdated house at the front, the owner wanted to re-invigorate their Californian-style bungalow, as well as create a new sculpture studio for their passion. ​​

 

The old house was carefully restored, and a new two storey addition boldly added to the rear with the studio and a bath house below.

The southerly orientation and a leafy rear garden aspect enable a facade full of glass for the new kitchen, dining and living areas, and provide both a showcase for the owners artistic treasures and a dramatic architectural statement.
