A great location with panoramic district, park and city views enticed the owners to see past the original 1980’s ugly duckling.

 

The existing footprint and building envelope was generally retained, but the whole character of the house was updated to provide a clean and contemporary form.

 

The internal planning was also reconfigured, relocating the master bedroom suite and study area towards the spectacular views, and a rooftop entertaining area added for good measure.

 

Motorised solar “fins” provide protection from the morning sun, as well as allow for privacy and security.
