An unusual battle-axe block provided a unique opportunity for this small inner-city terrace.

The site was maximised by developing a courtyard style design, extending the living spaces to the rear and bringing the outside in.

A first floor addition provides a new master suite, while the existing front rooms reverted to the children's bedrooms.

Living spaces were required to make the most of the limited space by being both flexible and multi-purpose.
