The clients embraced the architecture of this late 1970's townhouse, yet wanted to update things to include open plan kitchen & living, and improve light and natural ventilation.

The creation of a courtyard in the centre of the house provides a defined kitchen space that feeds onto the living & dining rooms, and brings-in much wanted northern light.

The second floor, once pokey, was re-arranged to provide a master suite, and the rear garden was landscaped, giving a lush oasis in the inner-city.
